I have heard opposition from people who use OSB because, from what I hear, it may be easier to work with. Who knows.. my framing experience pretty much ended with a telephone book holder I made back in 8th grade woodshop class.

Now, we are not claiming to be experts in regard to plywood vs OSB. The owner let's just call him "my dad" framed with it back when he started and the believes it is a better product. Well, last week he found 2 pieces of 1/4" sheets of wood in the scrap pile out back. It just so happens that one happened to be plywood and the other OSB. Both sheets had been left out in the rain, sun, and snow of last year. I thought would just share with you what the same thickness of wood looked like after a year uncovered outdoors.

I believe the plywood held up a lot better than the OSB.

The View From Up Here...

Don't you just love to sit back and take in a great view? Now that Spring has Sprung, the view from our Heron Ridge Model Home just makes me want to grab a cup of coffee and a rocking chair. Somewhere on my computer I have a photo of a sunset from up here that my sister in law Sharla Stenersen took but I can't find it for the life of me. Time for me to roll up my sleeves and reorganize this mess that I have made myself on my desktop. If somebody is looking for something, they will most certainly have to call me to find it. Who else would know that my important photos are in separate folders on my desktop, not so important ones are on my D: drive and then there are the photos that I forgot to change when I was downloading them and they ended up somewhere on the C: drive. Maybe that is where that sunset photo is that I am looking for...

Seriously though, we are open 7 Days a week up here. We always have coffee and I love the company. We can sit on the back deck and just enjoy God's Creation. If you have questions for me, I might even be able to help you with those too. Have a great weekend everybody! It's Friday, the sun is shining, and I have to work all weekend. Kinda makes it feel like Wednesday. Well.... what is so great about Wednesday.

I Hope to See You Soon!!!!!
